Palo Alto, CA - Onsite
Clinic Coordinator / Medical Assistant
Full Time
$30–$40/hour
Job Description
SkinBit is a membership-based clinical skin-screening service. Members visit a SkinBit clinic where a complete, high-resolution record of their skin is captured and reviewed in depth by board-certified dermatologists, the way you'd want your own skin examined. We're building the preventive health standard that dermatology has never had: rigorous, warm, and worth coming back to every year.
We're hiring our first Clinic Coordinator / Medical Assistant for the Palo Alto clinic. This isn't afront-desk rotation or a high-volume MA position. It's the role that defines what a SkinBit visit feels like. You'll be the consistent, trusted presence members associate with the clinic: the person who knows their name, maintains the space to a premium standard, and ensures every visit feels like it was built around them.
What You'll Do
- Own the clinic floor: open and close, maintain the space, set the daily tone
- Welcome and check in members; manage scheduling, intake, and pre-visit preparation
- Assist with skin-imaging sessions, position members, operate equipment, and ensure image quality per clinical protocol
- Maintain accurate records in the EHR; coordinate with the dermatology team on member follow-up
- Answer member questions with warmth and confidence; escalate clinical questions to the appropriate clinician
- Manage supplies, equipment hygiene, and overall clinic readiness
- Work independently day-to-day — this role requires self-direction as much as clinical skill
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in a clinical, medical wellness, or premium health environment — boutique experience carries more weight than volume
- Comfortable being the primary on-site person; you don't need constant direction to do good work
- Warm and at ease with members in one-on-one settings — the kind of person people feel comfortable with immediately
- Proficient with EHR systems; quick to learn new clinical software and equipment
- CMA or RMA credential preferred — not required for the right candidate
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a meaningful advantage for our member mix
- Based in the Bay Area and able to commute reliably to Palo Alto
Why SkinBit, Why Now
SkinBit is early. The Palo Alto clinic is a formative one — and the person hired into this role will have more influence over how it runs than any subsequent hire will. You're not inheriting a playbook; you're helping write it. You'll work alongside board-certified dermatologists who are as invested in the member experience as the clinical outcome. And the record you help build for each member — every mark mapped, every change tracked — compounds in value every year they return. That's what makes this role matter beyond the day-to-day. If you want to be ground-floor at a clinic where your judgment and warmth shape the standard, not just follow it, apply below or reach out directly.
Compensation
Competitive Salary Package. Full-time W-2, non-exempt (overtime-eligible). Full benefits package.
