The Science Behind SKINBIT
Every mark, mapped.
Every change, documented.
SkinBit is a clinical service built on three things dermatologists have always wanted, and never had together at scale: dermoscopy, total-body photography, and a longitudinal record.
What Your dermatologist sees that the eye alone can't
SkinBit images your skin using high-resolution photography and cross-polarized light — a technique that cuts surface glare to capture fine detail the naked eye can't see, creating a clear, consistent record for your dermatologist to review.

Standardized Imaging
The same protocol, every member, every visit.
Variability is the enemy of preventive medicine. SkinBit removes it. Every member, on every visit, is captured the same way: total-body photography across a fixed set of anatomical regions, then dermoscopic close-ups of every notable mark, then a structured record linked to the prior visit.
• Total-body Photography
Consistent poses across fifteen anatomical regions, captured under controlled lighting.
• Dermoscopic Close-ups
Polarized magnified imaging of every notable mark identified during the visit.
• Structured Metadata
Anatomical location, dimensions, dermoscopic features — recorded against the patient's longitudinal record.
• Dermatologist review
A board-certified dermatologist reads the complete set and assigns each notable mark one of three labels.

than the first.
"A lesion's change over time is the highest-signal data in dermatology." - Dr. Sancy Leachman
SkinBit makes that signal the default, not the privilege of high-risk patients with motivated clinicians. Every visit reads today's skin against last year's, side by side, mark by mark.

The dermatologist makes every clinical call.
A SkinBit visit produces a deep set of images. Computer vision helps our dermatologists organize them, surface year-over-year comparisons, and focus their expertise where it matters most.
Our dermatologists read every scan and make every recommendation.
